Old Faridabad Railway Station Restores 9 EMU Services, 19 Express Train Stops
Old Faridabad railway station has restored nine EMU services and stoppages for 19 express trains after a 45-day block. Find out which trains are running again and why passengers must still check platform details before travelling.
The Old Faridabad railway station is being redeveloped at a cost of approximately Rs 242 crore under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The project involves extensive reconstruction work aimed at upgrading the station infrastructure.
Reconstruction Work Led to Suspension of 9 EMU Services and 19 Express Train Stops
The structural frameworks of the main station buildings on both the NIT and National Highway sides have been completed. Work was underway to connect the two buildings and install girders for the foot overbridge.
During this phase, railway traffic was blocked because of pillar foundation work on platforms 2 and 3. As a result, nine EMU trains operating between Palwal and New Delhi were suspended, while stoppages for 19 express trains were cancelled.
Following the completion of the 45-day block, the railway administration has restored operations of all nine EMU services.
Nine EMU Train Services Resume
The nine restored EMU services are the 64908 Shahdara–Ballabhgarh Shuttle, 64071 Ballabhgarh–Shahdara Shuttle, 64052 Ghaziabad–Palwal, 64015 Palwal–Shahdara, 64078 New Delhi–Palwal, 64057 Palwal–Ghaziabad, 64012 Shahdara–Palwal, 64013 Palwal–Shahdara and 64076 New Delhi–Palwal.
